During the 1930’s and 1940’s, when La Posada first gained fame as an art colony, resident artists and writers often stayed in these small but charming rooms. All are furnished with a queen size bed and feature adobe walls and other original southwestern elements.
Each unique room welcomes guests with an intimate atmosphere reminiscent of a traditional Santa Fe home. Windows open to views of the resort’s colorful gardens and locally inspired architecture. In addition to adobe walls, authentic New Mexican interior design elements may include indigenous viga and latilla ceilings and more. Flooring – aged hardwood, Saltillo tile, or carpeting – is complemented by southwestern furnishings in tranquil earth tones.
Contemporary comforts include plush linens with 100% cotton sateen sheets and duvet, a 37-inch LCD flat screen TV and high-speed internet. The bathroom boasts rich brown granite stonework, custom C.O. Bigelow® bath amenities, and either a shower or a shower/bathtub combination.
